OUR POSITION

Zero tolerance

Pineapple has a strict, unconditional zero-tolerance policy toward Child Sexual Abuse and Exploitation (CSAE), including child sexual abuse material (CSAM), grooming, solicitation, and any attempt to involve minors in sexual content or activity — on or off the platform.

If we suspect CSAE, we act immediately: restrict access, remove content, preserve relevant data, and escalate to appropriate authorities in accordance with applicable law.

Adult-only by design

All users must be 18 years or older and pass manual identity verification. Attempts to bypass age controls, misrepresent age, or facilitate access for minors will result in permanent removal.

WHAT'S PROHIBITED

Any minor-related imagery

Uploading, sharing, requesting, or linking to any content depicting a person under 18, in any context — including photos of yourself as a child.

Grooming & solicitation

Attempting to build contact with a minor for sexual purposes, including moving conversations off-platform or soliciting minors in any form.

Age deception

Misrepresenting age, impersonating a minor, creating accounts for minors, or helping minors gain access to Pineapple.

Facilitation

Any behaviour that enables, normalises, or encourages CSAE — directly or indirectly, including sharing methods to circumvent age verification.

PREVENTION & DETECTION

We apply a layered safety approach combining verification, automated detection, human moderation, and community reporting. Safeguards may include:

Age controls & verification

Manual human verification of every account, risk-based review, and additional ID verification where required to confirm 18+ access.

Automated safety signals

Detection tools to identify suspicious content patterns and grooming indicators for urgent review by our safeguarding team.

Human safeguarding review

Trained moderators triage CSAE flags with priority handling and escalation protocols. CSAE reports bypass standard moderation queues.

Reporting

In-app reporting flows and direct email reporting to our safeguarding priority queue at [email protected].

No detection system is perfect. If you see something suspicious, report it immediately — your report could prevent harm.

ENFORCEMENT & ESCALATION

CSAE reports are treated as highest priority. When we receive a credible report or detect suspicious activity, we follow this process:

  • Immediate restriction — accounts may be suspended or restricted immediately to stop harm while review occurs
  • Rapid review — flagged content is reviewed with priority by trained safeguarding staff
  • Removal & permanent ban — confirmed CSAE results in permanent account removal and content takedown with no warnings
  • Preserve & escalate — we preserve relevant data in line with law and escalate credible CSAE to appropriate authorities

Law enforcement cooperation

Where legally appropriate, we cooperate with law enforcement and child protection agencies, and we comply with lawful requests to preserve and disclose data.

REPORTING & SUPPORT

Report suspected CSAE

If you encounter suspected CSAE, grooming, or any attempt to involve minors, report it immediately. Use in-app reporting where available, or email [email protected].

Include usernames, links, timestamps, and what you saw. Reports are handled via our priority queue.

Immediate danger

If a child is in immediate danger, contact local emergency services. In the UK, you can also report directly to CEOP.
